Make an image fit an upload limit

Use TinyEnough when a form, email service or website accepts your image format but rejects its file size. It processes JPG, PNG and WebP on your device and tries to meet the limit by changing quality or dimensions. Check the result before using it: a warning means the requested size was not reached.

Step by step

  1. Add your images. Choose the receiving site's size limit and an output format it accepts; the same settings apply separately to each image.
  2. Optionally set a maximum width or height. Run the conversion, then inspect the image, dimensions and before/after sizes. Use the arrows to review a batch.
  3. Download an individual result or a ZIP of successful results. If a result is still too large, choose smaller dimensions or try JPG or WebP.

Settings and limits

Size units
The target is 20–20,000 KB. This tool uses 1 KB = 1,024 bytes, so 200 KB means 204,800 bytes. For a strict decimal-byte limit, choose a slightly lower target.
Format and transparency
JPG suits photos and replaces transparency with white. PNG and WebP retain transparency. PNG reaches smaller targets by reducing dimensions; JPG and WebP can also reduce quality.
Dimensions and input
Maximum width/height can be 96–4,096 pixels. Aspect ratio is preserved and images are not enlarged. Add up to 100 images, at most 40 MiB each; large pixel counts or batches can exceed browser memory.

Worked example

Download sample.png, a 1,200 × 800 image. Choose JPG, 200 KB and maximum width 600; leave the height empty. Run the tool and inspect the result.

Download the example files

The width setting corresponds to 600 × 400 before any extra downsizing. Check that no above-limit warning is shown; 200 KB here means 204,800 bytes. Exact output size depends on the browser; no fixed compression ratio is promised.

Questions and troubleshooting

Why is the result still above my limit?

Some images cannot meet a very small target with the available settings. The result remains downloadable with a warning. Reduce dimensions, change format or raise the limit.

Why did sharp text become harder to read?

Lossy compression and downsizing remove detail. Use PNG for simple graphics, increase the size limit or keep larger dimensions; inspect small text at normal viewing size.

Does a batch limit apply to the ZIP?

The target applies to each image, not the total ZIP size. ZIP overhead and the number of images determine the archive size. Your original files are not overwritten.
