Make a QR sign that people can actually use

Create a printable Wi-Fi or website sign, then check its destination before sharing. The QR code contains the entered information; a Wi-Fi password stays encoded even when its printed line is hidden.

Step by step

  1. Choose Wi-Fi or a website URL. Enter the network name and password exactly, or use a complete web address.
  2. Set the heading and paper size. Decide whether to show the password line and whether to retain the site branding.
  3. Download the PDF or use Print. Test the final printed code with a phone before displaying the sign.

Settings and limits

Wi-Fi credentials
Use the open-network option only for a network without a password. This form does not configure enterprise Wi-Fi authentication.
Paper and print settings
Choose A3, A4, A5 or US Letter. Match printer paper and avoid cropping the light border around the code.
Password visibility and branding
Hiding the password removes its text line only. Removing branding changes the sign decoration, not the QR content.

Worked example

The sample PDF uses the fictitious network ITSYTOOLS DEMO and password demo-only-123. Its password line is hidden.

Questions and troubleshooting

Why does scanning fail?

Check spelling, contrast, print size and the clear border. Test from the expected distance and shorten overly long content.

Will the sign update when I change my password?

No. It contains the credentials used when generated. Create and print a replacement after changing the network password.

Does a website QR code track visitors?

This tool adds no redirect or tracking service. Scanning opens the URL; the destination website applies its own practices.
