PowerPoint to PDF

Convert PPTX slides to a PDF in your browser. Preview slides and choose which ones to include.

Add PowerPoint

PPTX

Choose a PPTX under 50 MB with no more than 100 slides. Older PPT files are not supported.

Preview

Choose a PPTX file to preview its slides.

Your presentation stays in your browser. PDF pages are images of the slides, so their text is not selectable. Animations and speaker notes are omitted; fonts and complex effects may look different.

Export a PowerPoint deck as a static PDF

Convert a PPTX when recipients need a PDF without opening a presentation application. The browser renders each selected slide and places its image on a PDF page. This produces a flattened document: slide text is not exported as selectable PDF text, and playback features become static content.

Step by step

  1. Open a PPTX and inspect every relevant slide using the preview arrows. The browser renderer may differ from PowerPoint, so check fonts, alignment, charts and cropped content before exporting.
  2. Choose all slides, the current slide or a custom range. Select PNG for crisp graphics or JPG for photo-heavy slides, then choose 1× or 2× resolution and an output filename.
  3. Download the PDF directly and inspect its pages in a PDF reader. If faithful text, complex charts or advanced PowerPoint features are essential, compare with an export from the original presentation application.

Settings and limits

Supported input
Open one PPTX up to 50,000,000 bytes and 100 slides. Older PPT files are not accepted; save a PPTX copy first. Very large or unusually complex presentation archives may be rejected.
Resolution and image format
2× doubles the rendered slide width and height, using about 4× as many pixels as 1×. PNG avoids lossy image compression; JPG uses fixed export quality. The PDF keeps the slide proportions.
Layout and output limits
Fonts available to the browser can affect layout. Animations, transitions, audio, video playback and speaker notes are not exported as interactive PDF features. Rendering is limited to 12,000 pixels per side, 24,000,000 pixels per image and 150,000,000 bytes of encoded slide images.

Worked example

Download guide-document-slides.pptx, the 2-slide image-based deck from the PDF to PowerPoint example. Choose all slides, PNG and 1× resolution, then save it as a PDF.

Example input

PPTX [1, 2] → PDF · PNG · 1×

Expected result

PDF [1, 2] · 16:9

Expect 2 landscape PDF pages in a 16:9 ratio, with the document pages and their white side margins visible. Because the slides are images, their text remains unselectable; increasing resolution cannot restore a text layer.

Questions and troubleshooting

Why does a font or object look different?

This tool uses a browser presentation renderer rather than PowerPoint's own layout engine. Missing fonts or unsupported elements can change the result. Use the original application's PDF export when the difference matters.

Why cannot I search or select the slide text?

Each PDF page contains a slide image. This converter has no editable-text PDF mode. For searchable content, export from PowerPoint or apply a suitable OCR workflow afterward.

Why does conversion fail on a large deck?

Try fewer slides, 1× resolution or JPG. Embedded media and complex objects can make a small PPTX expensive to render. Simplify the source presentation if reducing the export settings is insufficient.
