Files stay on your device. Pages keep their PDF content, but check links and forms in the result. Editing a signed PDF can invalidate its signature.
Reorder, rotate and extract the right PDF pages
Edit the page sequence of one PDF, then save the current pages, extract a selection or split the document into a ZIP of PDFs. Pages are copied as PDF content rather than exported as screenshots. The key distinction is between a page's current grid position and its original page number: editing changes the positions used by range selection.
Step by step
- Open a PDF and review the page grid. Select pages by clicking, use Ctrl/Cmd to toggle additional pages, or use Shift for an interval. A range such as 1-3, 7 selects current grid positions, not the original page labels.
- Rotate selected pages, remove or duplicate them, and use Move earlier / Move later or drag to change order. Arrange the pages before placing split markers. Undo and redo are available while the document remains open.
- Choose Save PDF for all current pages, Extract selected pages for one PDF containing the selection, or Split PDF for separate files in a ZIP. Download and check the page order, rotations and group boundaries.
Settings and limits
- Selection and order
- Ranges must be ascending and within the current page count. Repeated selections are deduplicated; extraction follows the current grid order even if the numbers were typed in another order. Rotations are in 90° steps.
- Split methods
- Split at the + markers, every N pages or one file per page. N accepts 1–500, but downloading a split requires at least two groups. Markers refer to positions, so inspect them after any reordering.
- Limits and review
- Open one PDF of at most 100 MiB and 300 pages. Duplication cannot exceed 300 pages, and removing every page is prevented. Up to 40 edit snapshots support undo. Check links and forms; editing invalidates digital signatures.
Worked example
Download organize-sample.pdf, whose four pages are labeled Original 1 through Original 4. Select the page labeled Original 2 and remove it. Then select Original 4, move it earlier twice, and rotate it right by 90°. Save the PDF.
Download the example files
Expected result
Original 4 (90°)
Original 1 (0°)
Original 3 (0°)Expect three pages in the order Original 4, Original 1, Original 3, with only Original 4 rotated. Compare organized-example.pdf. To extract only Original 1 from that edited grid, select current position 2. To try splitting, reopen the unedited sample and choose every 2 pages: the ZIP should contain two PDFs with two pages each.
Questions and troubleshooting
Why did my range select different original pages?
Ranges always address the current grid. After moving or deleting pages, position 2 can contain a different original page. Read the original labels before extracting; typing 3, 1 does not reverse their export order.
Why is splitting unavailable?
The selected method must produce at least two nonempty groups. Add a marker between pages, choose a smaller pages-per-file value, or select one file per page for a document with multiple pages.
Can I rely on the signature warning?
The warning looks for common signature markers and may miss some signatures. Treat any edited output as a rewritten document, regardless of whether a warning appears. Keep the signed original when its signature must be verified.
