Higher quality makes larger files. Changing quality resets the results.
The main still photo keeps its pixel dimensions. JPG is lossy. Metadata such as GPS location is not copied. Your original files are unchanged.
How to convert a batch of HEIC photos to JPG
Convert still HEIC or HEIF photos for forms, email and older software that accept JPG. Processing stays on your device; keep the originals when you need their metadata or editing flexibility.
Step by step
- Add the HEIC or HEIF originals from your device. Renaming another image format does not convert it.
- Choose JPG quality, then convert the batch. Inspect each file row for success or an error.
- Download individual JPG files or create a ZIP of successful results. Check sharpness, colour and orientation before sharing.
Settings and limits
- JPG quality
- Start at 90%. Lower values can reduce file size but may introduce artefacts; 100% does not make JPG lossless or guarantee a smaller file.
- Batch limits
- Add up to 100 files, with 50 MB per file and 250 MB total. Large photos also require browser memory; use smaller batches if conversion stalls.
- Output and metadata
- Each input produces a still JPG at its decoded dimensions. Original EXIF, location data, HDR and Live Photo motion are not preserved by this export.
Worked example
Try 2 still photos named receipt.heic and portrait.heic at 90% quality. Their output names are receipt.jpg and portrait.jpg.
Example input
receipt.heic
portrait.heicExpected result
receipt.jpg
portrait.jpgA ZIP contains only successful conversions. The example shows names, not a promised file size; use TinyEnough afterward if an upload requires a KB or MB limit.
Questions and troubleshooting
Why does a HEIC file fail?
The file may be damaged, use an unsupported HEIF variation or exceed image limits. Test one original at a time; export JPG from the source device if it remains unsupported.
Will JPG be smaller than HEIC?
Not necessarily. HEIC can compress more efficiently, so a JPG may be larger. Compare the downloaded result and lower quality or resize if needed.
Can I preserve Live Photos or undo conversion?
The converter exports a still image. Keep the original photo and any companion video; converting the JPG back cannot restore discarded detail or metadata.
